Anti-Intentionalism Redux

Anti-Intentionalism Redux (2012)

25” x 25”

Giclee print on Canvas

See the piece entitled Anti-Intentionalism for a description. This piece differs from the original work by being printed on canvas and having the programming code superimposed on the image. What the code does is to change the expressions to reflect the actual, physical substrate. The canvas, in this instance, is far more generic, uniform in appearance than is the wood grain exhibited on the plywood. There are some interesting things to talk about when looking at the relationship between the original painting and this digital print.
